During a trip to Italy I became fascinated by prayer cards, by the images of the Doges, by the ornamented letterforms adorning all sorts of architecture and publication material. Nevertheless, packaged toothpicks with Japanese flair, like the Samurai here, which I fashioned into a makeshift cross, perhaps more x-shaped than cruciform.

Ms. Jessica - how beautiful your last two journal pages. You have been holding out on us! Thank you for sharing. I am also a lover of prayer cards, mine being all in a small photo album for quick reference. I also love chocolate - of any kind.
Perhaps when I get to Italy we will have 3 things in common, because I am sure I will love it there too.
